
Lydia jumped up and down in her pajamas and pointed at the state map that is pinned to her bedroom wall. “When I grow up, I want to visit ALL of these.” She waved her hands in the air.
“Wow,” I said. “You are going to visit every state in America?”
She shook her head, “No. I only want to visit the PINK ones. I love the pink ones.” She wrinkled her nose in disgust and continued thoughtfully, “I don’t want to go to any brown or green ones though.”
“But look,” I said pointing at Alaska. “We live in a green state.”
