“Gideon, go get your shoes. We’re going to the park.”

He tilted his head towards me, “We go in One hour?”

“Well,” I sighed at the ceiling, “I can’t answer that question, dude. Because you have no concept of time.”

He raised his eyebrows and held up a pair of fingers, “In two seconds?!”

“What? No. It has literally already been two seconds. Just, go get your shoes.”

He raised his other hand and nearly fell over in shock, “Four minutes??”

We stared at each other for a moment while he held his expression of surprise. Finally, I stood up and dusted off my hands “You know what, I’ll just get your shoes for you.”

He called after me while I retreated up the stairs, “Right Now?!?”
